Fortune Favors the Brave by Gee’s Diary

The prophetic era has done a great job at creating a brainwashed generation. In fact, Christianity or rather this misinterpreted doctrine is grooming a lazy bunch which seems to invest most of its energy on “receiving’’ rather than ‘’giving’’.

I would like to believe the Bible when it spoke of giving; it wasn’t only talking about giving aid to those in need it also meant give your best in all your endeavours and the outcome of it will be a handsome reward. But yet again it’s just me, I stand to be corrected.

I hope this hypothesis will not be welcomed by fury and don’t get me wrong; I am also a devoted Christian who was indoctrinated into this gospel since birth but yet still opinionated into believing that this doctrine, duly justice has not been served in regard with raising a hardworking and goal oriented generation. Yet again, it’s just me I still stand to be corrected.

I don’t dispute the fact that God has plans for us to make us prosper and also we ought not be anxious about what tomorrow brings but yet again, the very same bible entails that a little sleep a little slumber and a folding of hands poverty will attack you like a thief at night.

Does that mean the Bible is self contradictory, NO! It simply means God’s plans will prevail only if you show some initiation.

A certain lecturer back in college would always say ‘’you will rest in yowa (your) grave’’ and it ended up being his trademark. It’s a pity we quickly picked the mispronunciation at the expense of the message echoed by the great sage; ignorance is very dangerous I am certain now.

God blessed us already with the innate ability to break new grounds and be someone in life; we are more than conquerors so success is certain. Success simply means one saw an opportunity and grabbed it with all the might. Failure on the other hand means a miscalculated opportunity which can be rectified if properly calculated, which needs the wisdom to know where exactly you miscalculated.

The world is your oyster, what you do is the outcome of how far your sky can reach. Comfort zones are snug until you sit for long, they will get crampy so why wait for the cramp when you can reposition yourself? Dare yourself to always aim higher. If you achieve something, stretch to grab more and slowly your empire will grow.

Fortune favors the brave which means fortune is only opportuned to those who are willing to give their maximum efforts in their endeavours so that they can be rewarded with a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, poured into their laps.

You cannot help the needy with something you don’t have which means you can only give based on what you received after you gave your all to receive that. Therefore, your rewards will also be enjoyed by those in need you would have stretched out to give. Hence, giving to the needy dates back to how you successfully grabbed an opportunity you gave your all to and was handsomely rewarded.

Farfetched as it might sound, life is a cycle which starts from you realizing an opportunity, giving it your best capabilities, receiving a reward for the efforts and using the rewards to give to the needy. Receiving in church means God is rewarding the tireless effort you gave to an opportunity He created for you and not just jumping and screaming “I receive” the loudest during prophetic declarations. So, before you literally jump in a receiving mode at church just ask yourself if your hands are holding something worth rewarding; He blesses the work of your hands. Do not be deceived, fortune favors the brave.
