Music lovers are to be given a melodious treat as the much anticipated Bushveld Jazz Festival set for the 13th of August at Mogol Stadium takes off. The drumbeats of song and dance that accompany Women’s Day celebration will become louder as some of the well-known names in the music scene take to the stage. A breakfast media briefing was held at the Palm Park hotel on the 25 of July to set the tone for the event.
The acclaimed Trrr Phaa hit maker Selaelo Selota gave a taste of what is coming up by giving a beautiful performance. Selota gave a tip of the ice berg of what is to come at the festival. The town is buzzed up getting ready for this festival as some will be seeing their favourite artists perform for the first time in their lives.
The line-up includes award winning artists such as Zahara, Selaelo Selota, Ringo, Professor, Judith Sephuma, Shanti Lo’ (Botswana) and Ndingo Johwa (Botswana). Local artists include Flat Five, True Tone, Quite Storm and Eddie Monare. Dj Vavic, DJ Touch and DJ Danny D will turn the heat on the decks. Fedilicious Entertainment will mesmerize with their dance moves.
The Bushveld Jazz Festival is the first ever music festival of this magnitude to be held in Lephalale.
